Hi guys! This is TSN Baseball and we will tell you how the Saturday games of baseball went. This is the first article about baseball, and we wish that you concentrate highly on the game highlights.
Before we tell you how the scores went or who was the MVP of anything, there is one important news I would tell you. KBO is finally deciding to play baseball games at Monday, which previously Mondays were considered resting days. Therefore, we could all enjoy a new Monday without having to be anxious to look forward to Tuesdays.
The first game that we would report to you is Nexen Heroes vs. Hanwha Eagles. Hanwha was looking forward to end their losing streak of 4 games in a row. As of last Saturday (August 31st, 2013), Hanwha was 9th place because of their struggling. Nexen, on the other hand, was going on to sweep the Eagles and be a hero to defeat the wild eagles. We will be talking about this game only for this blog.
The Heroes' starting pitcher was Andy Van Hekken, who had a win-loss record of 8-9. Van Hekken was a fairly good pitcher, except for the fact that he is a little slow in pitching. The Eagles' starting pitcher was Dana Eveland, with a win-loss record of 4-11.
The Heroes had a good start in the first inning, when they had bases loaded in the 1st inning. Seo Gun-chang and Park Beung-ho got 4 balls, while Lee Taek-geun got a hit to left field. There was 1 out, when Song Ji-man got a ground out to second base. Then, an unfortunate two strikeouts from Kang Jeong-ho and Kim Min-sung got the Eagles out of danger. In the bottom of the 1st inning, Lee Hak-jun flied out to the left field. Then, Han Sang-hoon got hit by Van Hekken, and went to first base. Then, Choi Jin-heng hit a hit and there was man on 1st and 2nd base. Then Lee Yang-gi hit a double and did a good thing. He hit a double and the score was 1:0. However, before they could score again, two strikeouts followed, and it was the 2nd inning. In the bottom of the 2nd inning, Hanhwa scored again, with a 2-0 score. The score stayed that way until the fourth inning, when Kang Jeong-ho blasted a ball out of the field for a home run. The score was 2:1 now. The Eagles fought back and the score was 3:1.
In the 6th inning, back to back hits let the Heroes score, and the score was 3:2. However, the score stayed that way until the end of the game, and the Eagles beat the Heroes 3:2, with a loss to Van Hekken and a win to Eveland. Stay tuned for the other games for Saturday!
