This year has been very rough for Samsung, as Doosan was one win to the KS title. They might have won the pennant race, but they certainly aren't doing well in the Series. Doosan won 3 times, and Samsung only won once. They must win, or Doosan will. Only one victor will remain.
The starting pitcher for Samsung is Yoon Sung-hwan, hoping to avenge his team's first loss, and for Doosan the starter is No Kyung-eun, wishing to win again.
Luckily Samsung started taking the lead in the 1st inning, when Chae Tae-in, the first baseman, hit a homer over the left fence with 2 other runs scored, bringing the score to 3:0. Doosan fought back in the 2nd inning, when Choi Jun-suk, the designated hitter, slugged one over the left fence, bringing the score to 3:1. The next inning, Samsung balanced the score with the help of Choi Hyung-woo, the main slugger of Samsung. The ball seemed to be attracted to the left fence as all three homers went over the left fence. The solo homer just added to the rowdiness. Doosan miraculously scored when right fielder Jung Soo-bin got hit by a pitch. 5 consecutive hits followed, scoring 3 times. By then, Yoon Sung-hwan was switched to An Ji-man, a relieving pitcher. The score was 4:4 by the time Samsung was able to get out of the inning. In the fifth inning, Park Suk-min drove in Chae Tae-in, allowing them to take the lead yet again to 5:4. By then No Kyung-eun was switched to Kim Sun-woo, a former MLB pitcher. Doosan bit back, with Choi Jun-suk hitting another homer to the right fence, balancing the score to 5:5. By then, An Ji-man was switched out to Rick VandenHurk, another former MLB pitcher. Kim Sun-woo was switched to Yoon Myung-jun, a pitcher who rarely loses.
In the 8th inning, Park Han-i hit a hit that won the game for Samsung, leaving Yoon Myung-jun responsible. He was switched to Jung Jae-hun, who also allowed a score. VandenHurk was throwing fireballs, the fastest being 153km/h to Choi Jun-suk, making a double play to a person who hit two homeruns in a single game. Oh Seung-hwan came in and finished the game for a save, leaving Samsung for a win.
Win: VandenHurk (Samsung)
Loss: Yoon Myung-jun (Doosan)
Samsung: 2 wins and 3 losses
